First day of School
Cayden 1st day of Kindergarten.
My baby boys!!!! :(
Well the boys made it thru their 1st day of school!! Woohoo! Oddly enough they both got in the car after their 1st day of school moaning and complaining. :( Cole was upset that he was unable to check out a book from the library the 1st day of school, and that he could not get on the giant slide on the play ground. I did later find out they would not let the children on the giant slide on the playground because it has a lot of additional rules that the teachers had to go over before the children could play on it. The slide is seriously like 15ft high! Cayden on the other hand was upset cuz he did not get a skittle because he did not take a nap. He said he wasn't tired :) Then he was frustrated because he had to do work and the teacher would not let him play. LOL He is so funny!!! They both settled down later and decided the day really was not that bad. However I must tell, even if Cayden does want to kill me later in life cuz I did ,what Cayden did getting ready for school. the night before school was to start Cayden fought us about going to bed, he did not even seem fazed at the thought of the next morning being his 1st day of kindergarten, but we did finally get him to sleep at a decent hr. The next morning when their alarm went off he jumped out of bed ran into my bedroom and proceeded to tell me "look mommy I got up in the middle of the night and got dressed then went back to bed " I died laughing, when I ask him why he said "cuz I want to get ready fast so I can go to school" Ohhhhh.... how I will miss that sweet Innocent Cayden. :) He is such a character! Well... after the 1st day the boys really seemed to perk up they have had good days since. I hope they continue. Well the kids are all asleep and i think I will do the same now.

July 30th Tornado Olive Branch, MS

The following are pictures of my neighborhood. The national weather service said it was an F2 tornado that hit our neighborhood Thursday 7/30/09. We were so blessed as we only had debris in our yard and lost part of our fence. Randy and I saw the tornado about 200 yards away before taking off the the closet to shield the kids. God is so good& he protected us. Please pray for our neighbors as some of them were not so lucky. They claim all people escaped un harmed. There were around 14 homes condemned from the tornado and will need to be totally rebuilt. I must also state that I finally realized what it REALLY means to be a fireman's wife... Randy took off immediately after the tornado went thru, to assist in rescue efforts. I was terrified!!! I truly believe my husband is a HERO and I thank him and all his fellow fireman for there dedication to their job.... even when they aren't being paid. :) Randy was on his 4 days off when this occurred and well as you all know he is a Collierville fireman not Olive branch, but he again rose to the occasion... cuz that's the wonderful kind of man I married. Thanks for all the prayers that went up for us and please continue to pray for the others in the neighborhood affected. Our neighborhood in on lock down, so they are not letting anyone in besides us home owners. So I will see some of you soon. God bless! :)
This is looking back at the cove directly behind my house.
