More Beach 2009.......

We had a wonderful time at the beach we went to Destin again this year, we were joined by my mom and her boyfriend Tim. We had a wonderful relaxing trip! Amery gives new meaning to water baby.... She LOVES the water and insist that she can swim with no help. (yeah right) Well she can almost I bet by next year after her swim lesson she will. NO LIE!! Cayden and Cole both completed swim lessons the week before we left for the beach, they did GREAT!!! Cayden is no longer afraid of the water and can swim thanks to his lessons so he was able to enjoy the water so much more this year. Cole has excelled at swim since his lessons and enjoyed riding the waves with us and even enjoyed diving for water toys in the pool. We had a family night where we all went to the go cart track and had a blast!!! We always enjoy this yearly vacation and can't wait to go again next year. Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, as most of you already know I have been juggling, new part time job, launching of thirty-one, and my dad being in and out of the hospital lately. Things are beginning to return to normal so I will start to update with random blogs to explain. Thanks for all the prayers and concern for my dad. They have helped. More to come later.

Well i know it has been a while since I have posted to the blog,but it has been wild around here. We had family pictures made back in April and I thought you guys might like to see them. Randy and I also celebrated our 9th anniversary!!! WOW! I still can't believe it has been 9 years and 3 children. GOD has truely blessed me. Hope all is well with everyone else. Enjoy the pictures. I will post more stuff real soon.

Making Easter candy.

Well we had a great Easter! We made Easter candy, eggs the whole 9 yards. We made Easter candy and eggs with my mom and had a blast. Daddy had to work :( Easter was celebrated on Saturday at church with an egg hunt in the morning and in the afternoon at the Shives. We celebrated Easter Sunday in the morning at Church and went to my moms at noon where we visited with family and ate lunch. We were forced to hunt eggs in the house because of the weather but that didn't seem to bother the kids at all. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well. Just remember Jesus is the reason for the season! God bless everyone. On another note we will be taking Amery to get glasses tomorrow morning. She has an eye issue called hereditary strabismus. this is where her eyes turn inward toward her nose she has the issue in both eyes but only really noticeable in the right eye. Dr. said we will wear glasses for now and if that works well she can get contact when she is ready and if it does not correct the problem we will have surgery. We go in the morning to get the glasses, poor princess! :(

What a big girl!

Well I know its a bit late but we took Amery for her 12 months appointment Wednesday. We have had to wait a bit because of the move to the new house and the fact that Amery has been batteling Sinus . She is finally getting over the sinus stuff. No big deal just the crazy weather we have here in Memphis!She is a growing girl she is now 14 months (almost) and weigh 20 lbs 12 oz and was 30 1/4 inches long. She falls in the 30% in weight and 60% in height. She is having to see an opthomoligist next Sat for an eye issue. I will let you all know what we determin the solution will be. Please say a small prayer that it is not a major issue. The known issue is that her right eye turns inward toward her nose. This is a family inherited trait. My nephew and an aunt has the same problem and it is normally correctable thru a minor surgery. I'm sure this will be the case for her as well. I HOPE! :) We are all doing great just enjoying the new house and give all the praise to God for providing this for us. Hope to hear from you all soon.
